He did those things. Basically in the military you're not supposed to criticize any senior officer. Just keep your mouth shut and do whatever you're told. Apparently he's just owning up to what he did, even tho he was in the right.
It seems to me like he's doing more than just "owning up" though. His comments make it seem like he's backtracking.

The military justice system is a completely different animal. It’s hard to say what’s really in play.
He may have pled guilty to the charges, but this afternoon he pretty well lambasted military leadership again. Good for him
Did you see the sentence? 5k in pay and a reprimand letter. He is now in the process of getting out.
@nukesmurphy I did, the judge seemed totally on his side. I believe he even ordered an investigation. Pretty surprising!
