Vaccine mandate froze. For now
From the article:
A U.S. federal appeals court issued a stay on Saturday temporarily halting Democrat President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate that would have required companies with at least 100 employees to get vaccinated for the coronavirus or be tested weekly.
The ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit stated the following:
Before the court is the petitioners’ emergency motion to stay enforcement of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s November 5, 2021 Emergency Temporary Standard (the “Mandate”) pending expedited judicial review.
Because the petitions give cause to believe there are grave statutory and constitutional issues with the Mandate, the Mandate is hereby STAYED pending further action by this court.
Also of note, Congressional Republicans are working to nullify the order as well. Linked below
There’s a lot of interesting legal precedent being set by all of this nuttiness. I’ll be interested to see how it all plays out.
@nukesmurphy My personal opinion on the matter, is the administration knew it could never hold up to constitutional scrutiny, which is why they announced it and it didn't' go on the books for month. Businesses panicked, because modern day americans, and required their employees to get vaccinated, so even when the mandate is struck down, they still force vaccinated millions of people, essentially against their will.
